This machine carries out impact-tests on wheels (rim + tyre) with maximum Æ="1200" mm in accordance with standards ISO7141/SAEJ175. It will guarantee that the test completely complies with the requirements of the aforementioned standard.

Option A): the offer hereunder includes also a quotation of an optional equipment for JASO C608 standard test execution (wheel with 30° slope).

Option B): the offer hereunder includes also a quotation of an optional equipment for JIS D 4103 standard test execution (wheel with 90° slope).

1. STRUCTURE

It comprises a welded-steel frame that supports and guides a variable-weight impact mass for ISO7141/SAEJ175 test execution. This mass has a frame inside which are fastened 34 metal plates of 23,5 kg each, for a total weight of 800 kg. The maximum weight of the impact mass can be 1200 kg.

The impact mass is positioned at launch height by an electric hoist, whose capacity is 2000 kg and which is controlled by the operator through a command panel.

Furthermore, it is also possible to frontally remove the impact mass side guides.

The machine is also preset for the possibility to replace the impact mass for ISO7141/SAEJ175 test execution with another impact mass (option) that together with the relevant accessories can be used for JASO C608 test execution or for JIS D 4103 test execution.

A pair of steel jaws that open and close by means of a gear motor with worm-screw releases the weight from the set position.

The tested wheel is fastened to a support mounted on sliding runners. The support can be positioned by hand.

The machine is fitted with brackets so that the test can be carried out with the wheel slope at 13°.

On the a.m. brackets a support is mounted. The flange for wheel coupling is installed on this support (this flange is not included in the supply).

All the machine activity is commanded from a control panel with control push-buttons and lamps.

The operation sequences are controlled by a Siemens PLC.

The machine is equipped with a digital display that reviews the release height and that can perform different measures.

The machine is also fitted with an electronic system that can detect the possible contact between the impact mass and the safety stops, so that it can signal whether the performed test can considered as valid.

The machine is therefore equipped with the pneumatic pressure control, which lasts a minute from the impact successive moment on. As the current norms specify, the pneumatic pressure must be maintained for a minute at least. If not, the machine will produce a signal light that highlights the test failure.
