6. Operation Instruction of the zirconia beads for grinding media:

6.1. Clean the Mill chamber before charging with the beads.

6.2. Select beads of appropriate specifications according to the Mill volume, slurry viscosity and out let clearance.

6.3. Test if the slurry viscosity meet the requirements and check if the machine's outlet clearance and rotation speed are appropriate.

6.4. In first use of the beads, it is recommended to pre-grind the beads in a fluid mixture (Resin & Solvent) of certain viscosity for 30 minutes. When low-viscosity solvent is employed for pre-grinding, it is required to reduce the rotation speed and limit the duration to 15 minutes. (Note: Beads labeled as “Pre-ground” no needful to pre-grinding during operation.)

6.5. For low viscosity slurry, dispersion disc peripheral speed should not exceed 14m/s.

6.6. Due to the high kinetic energy with the beads, it is not necessary to operate at high rotation speeds to disperse high solid content and high-viscosity products.

6.7. For paints grinding, it is suggested to use the resin to clean the beads. If the solvent is required for that purpose, reduce the rotation speed and have the cleaning done within 10 minutes. Intermittent clearing operation “On-Off” is recommended.
