PRODUCT CHARACTERISTICS
TRICOGEL medical material is composed of:
• knitted polyester double velour prosthesis with hydrophilic surface,
• porcine pharmaceutical gelatin.
TRICOGEL prostheses are characterized by:
• intraoperative tightness,
• zero preclotting,
• hydrophilia promoting immediate moistening of the surface of the prosthesis with the patient’s blood,
• low rigidity when dry, vanishing after a contact with fluids (blood),
• internal and external velour promoting the tissue ingrowth on the prosthesis,
• thin wall,
• diameter retention,
• high mechanical strength,
• low mass,
• no fraying at cut ends including different angels,
• easy handling,
• clear marking line.

IMPREGNATION
Porcine pharmaceutical Type A gelatin used in TRICOGEL prostheses holds Health Certificate Nor 27/01 and conforms to the Polish Standard PN 93A/82245.

The manufacturer of the gelatin and the manufacturing process are monitored by the veterinary office.
