SANWIL was set up in 1974, and since 1998 it has been listed as a joint stock company on the basic market of the Warsaw Stock Exchange.

Sanwil S.A. (plc), a leader amongst Polish manufacturers of ecological leathers (i.e. leather imitations) and coated materials, is also one of the largest and most respectable players in this line of trade in Europe.

The company manufactures leather cloth and leather imitations for the furniture, footwear and medical appliances industries. We also offer materials for leather fancy goods, clothing materials, canvas-type covers, as well as fabrics for the needs of military and automotive sectors. Our customers are both Polish and foreign businesses.

Sanwil S.A production facility is located in PRZEMYŚL (South-east of Poland), close to the boarder with Ukraine.


Sanwil constantly expands and modernises the stock of machinery, which facilitates development and production of a wide range of high-quality materials such as:


knitted fabrics:
-technological cotton and polyester ones,
-fur ones,
-terry fabrics / uncut-loops fabrics,

imitation leather on the base of woven and knitted fabrics, and on bonded cloth, all coated with either:
-polyvinyl chloride (PCV),
-polyurethanes,
-vapour-permeable membranes,

in the following variations: a combination of polyvinyl chloride and polyurethane;
imitation leather coagulated on a fabric; multi-layer products laminated with the PU (polyurethane) foam.

On 27 June, 2000 our company met all the requirements for the Quality Certification System in compliance with Standard ISO 9001 concerning designing and manufacturing of imitation leather and other coated materials, developed through coating, calendering and lamination.
